COPPER Coast Sport and Leisure Centre, Kadina has something for everyone, with age no barrier to being active.
With everything from the gym, to aerobics classes, sports and hydrotherapy, CCSLC is the place to be.
“We have many programs to assist our community age well and live life to the fullest,” centre manager Giles Ellis said.
“In the gym we have popular group fitness classes including Strength+.
“Our signature program, it is a fusion of light weights, cardio, and stretching, reinvigorating for both seasoned fitness enthusiasts and newcomers.
“Active Adults focuses on light weights, promoting aerobic fitness, posture, and stability for seniors who aim to stay active and strong.”
If you’d rather something a little gentler, hydrotherapy is for you.
“You can immerse yourself in the therapeutic warm water and relish the gentle way to enhance strength and flexibility,” Giles said.
“Or, you can try Aqua Aerobics, where you’ll engage in a low impact workout which is gentle on the joints but still gets the heart rate up.
“We have plenty of other activities to keep you moving, if you prefer to be outside, including the free walking group which leaves from the centre.
“You can also unleash your inner dancer through the Ageing Well Modern Dancing Classes with Krank It Dance.
“Let Kayla from Krank It Dance lead you on a fun journey of staying active and learning a modern dance.”
If group sport is more your thing, then go and try Pickleball.
“It combines tennis, badminton, and ping pong, is low-impact and suitable for all skill levels, so it guarantees an evening filled with joy and laughter,” Giles said.
“Copper Coast Sport and Leisure Centre is proud to be the hub for seniors to explore, stay active, and make the most of life.
“Don’t let age define you; instead, embrace vitality and join us on the path to healthier, happier living.”
