The 2012 London Paralympics are just one year away and former Moonta 21-year-old Grace Bowman is four selection events away from securing a spot in the Australian team.
The para-equestrian has already qualified for the games but must still impress selectors in Tamworth next month, as well as at future events in Melbourne in December and April and Sydney mid-next year.
The Australian para-equestrian team still has to qualify and is relying on a strong performance in December.
However, if the team does not qualify Grace could still enter as an individual rider.
“The experience of competing in Beijing was a big help,” she said.
“When I was there I thought I was experienced but I wasn’t experienced at that level.
“This time I have had three more years and will be riding on a different horse which I have been riding for a long time now.
“I still have to be selected but it is looking good at the moment.”
