Hospitals to be smoke-free |

Journalist: Ros White — Yorke Peninsula’s hospitals and health services will be smoke-free as of International World No Tobacco Day, May 31.

The ban extends to the grounds of all Country Health SA buildings, but aged care facilities are exempt and won’t become smoke-free until November 30. Country Health SA chief executive, Clare Douglas, said the SA Health Smoke Free Policy will help protect staff, patients and visitors from passive smoking.
