By Peter Argent — Despite rumours and radio talk linking former CY Cougars junior, Hayden Skipworth, to the North Adelaide Football Club, Skipworth confirmed he is still yet to make a decision on his future.

“At this stage, I haven’t signed with anyone and haven’t even made a decision whether I’ll say in Melbourne or come back to Adelaide,” Skipworth told the YP Country Times last Thursday.

“It will depend on opportunities that are available in either city.

“I certainly haven’t made any commitments or signed on the dotted line with anybody. But I’m hoping to make a decision in the very near future — maybe, as early as next week.”

Woodville-West Torrens manager Kym Ireland confirmed the Eagles haven’t received confirmation either way about Skipworth’s future.

“Hayden has advised us that his priority is to look for a coaching or development role in the AFL system,” Ireland said. “We haven’t given up on him, but understand his first priority is to get into an off-field role.

“He has always indicated to us if he comes back to Adelaide, he’d like to play with the Eagles.” Skipworth retired from AFL football after a 55-game career with Adelaide and Essendon, citing his inability to get his body up to the rigours of football at the top level.
