IN an article in your issue of February 14 it says the SA Tourism Commission would not be able to contribute funding for this year’s YP Saltwater Classic for vintage boats.
This again underlines the state government’s wilful disregard of the interests of rural communities.
They begrudge a few thousand dollars to assist a regular event organised by volunteers, yet are quite prepared to spend 50 thousand times this amount to support adaptations to Adelaide Oval, which is run as a commercial venture and supports professional sport.
Shame!
