THE school holiday time has ended and the Wheal Hughes Tourist Mine is still closed.
I wrote to District Council of the Copper Coast CEO Peter Harder before Christmas offering my house as collateral to seriously get this attraction up and running again.
My daughter is a geologist and I was a volunteer with the mine tours.
I left Adelaide to retire and join the lifestyle of fresh air and golf.
I want the mine to bring more tourists to the area. The business of relying on locals as volunteers should be re-assessed.
I want to leave this world knowing I have done my utmost to promote the mining heritage and attractions of this area.
The DCCC has no vision for the future.
