A modest grand final third quarter for Central zone proved to be the difference between winning the 2018 MAC SA Country Championship title and finishing second.

The tournament was held in windy weather, which made executing elite skills tough at Renmark Oval on the weekend.

Central had the early lead in the title decider against Western (Eyre Peninsula) but conceded the advantage with a late goal just before halftime.
