Whispers from the pitch

We’ve made it to the pointiest end of the season in both competitions with grand finalists now decided.

The two best sides have made it to the big game in the lower YP league. Minlaton was far too good for Yorketown, which was in trouble early after winning the toss.

Tight bowling by Minlaton’s openers Carlin Whitehead and Ben Parsons had Yorketown at 5/37 at one point.

The pair bowled 10 overs straight, with Parsons going for just 12 runs off his spell and Whitehead taking 4/25.
