A strong Yorke Peninsula side performed well in the annual Country Round Robin last week to finish  runner-up.
spCountryRoundRobin8One blemish virtually cost the title. The game that caused the upset was on Wednesday morning when YP lost to Lower North by one shot. This was the first time LN had defeated YP in this event.

YP went on to finish in second place behind North Eastern.

In one of two highlights, Daniel Glazbrook’s team (Rob Natt, Nick Shepherd, Ken Wilcox) took out the top four after winning all seven games. On Friday morning, the team was level on points with Dean Wilkinson (Mount Gambier). Wilkinson lost the final game, Glazbrook scoring a narrow victory to take the title.

The other highlight was when Bruce Hines and his team (Stephen Redding, Luke Brind, Derrick Bushell) scored an eight on Tuesday afternoon.
