The 15th annual Flaherty’s Beach Golf Classic Spectacular was contested in fine weather on Sunday, January 22.
This unusual event, hosted by the Warooka Progress Association, drew more than 50 competitors to the beach course where sand bunkers and water hazards take on a whole new dimension.
A long day in the sun was made easier by progress association members who provided shade, a bar and food on the foreshore.
“It’s a lot of work but always a great day,” progress association president Janice said.
“Everyone who contributed to another successful golf classic should be proud of their efforts.”
The money raised will go toward the Warooka Progress Association’s current project, refurbishing the Warooka Memorial Oval playground in co-operation with the District Council of Yorke Peninsula.
