A well-prepared green and favourable weather made for an enjoyable evening of bowling at the Alford men’s twilight triples on Thursday, January 19. 
Fourteen teams participated, with the result decided on a count-back.
Winners, from Wallaroo, were Roger Pearce (sk), Ron Beech and Brian Bussenschutt; runners-up Geoff Prouse (sk), Alan Harris, Harold Robinson (Wallaroo Mines); third John Page (sk), Cyril Heppenstall, Colin Bown (Wallaroo).
Lucky numbers, card draws and a raffle added extra interest.
Players enjoyed between-game snacks, and finished with supper.
