Baby boomers to boost market

BABY boomers are expected to drive Australia’s regional property market during the next 20 years as they relocate for a more affordable lifestyle.

A study by national property market researcher Propertyology found baby boomers will target more affordable regional locations because of poor retirement savings and superannuation balances.

“Baby boomers didn’t have their employers contributing towards superannuation until the back end of their working years,” Propertyology market analyst Simon Pressley said.
