No doubt Premier Jay Weatherill will try to make a deal with Mr Xenophon.
We do not need another four years of failed left-wing socialist Labor government. Mr Weatherill has done nothing beneficial for this state. He boasts of his new hospital, premium priced but budget quality. Money can be found for projects of dubious worth in Adelaide, what about country roads? All the government will do is reduce speed limits. The Federation Corner rebuild is a nightmare in the making and will increase prangs rather than reduce them.
Country health has been trashed by Labor, not to mention the Oakden scandal, the Repat, taxes going through the roof. Do we really need the O-Bahn tunnel or the tramline extension?
This government’s obsession with renewable power has not had the expected results. We need baseload power. Nuclear is the only real long-term answer.
Mr Weatherill has botched recreational fishing with marine parks and reduced bag limits.
Nothing shows his personality more than the dummy spit he threw over his bank tax. Hats off to Duncan McFetridge and Dennis Hood, who offered to pass the bank tax in return for axing the massive ESL hikes. Mr Weatherill refused, so these two walked out and the bank tax lapsed.
Sixteen years of Labor mismanagement have overseen the loss of Mitsubishi, Bridgestone, Holden and many smaller businesses.
I worked at Uniroyal / Bridgestone for 36 years.
I have a very good idea as to how I’ll vote, and it will not be for Nick Xenophon.
