New heart in time for Christmas

BABY Lucy McGregor has received a lifesaving heart transplant.

The transplant surgery took about 11 hours, and Lucy has been recovering well since, having been discharged from Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Lucy spent 281 days in hospital after being diagnosed with the extremely rare form of heart failure dilated cardiomyopathy in February.
