Your View: Wallaroo shopfronts

WE have been coming to Wallaroo for a number of years now (we come for three months) and were commenting on the lack of streetscaping along the shopfronts of Wallaroo.

Other than The Smelter coffee shop and pizza shop no other shops have attempted to beautify their shopfronts.

It looks so much more inviting to see greenery along the front, we wonder why other shops haven’t done so?

I know it is a bit of an inconvenience to take the plants in each night but it would be so worth it and at little cost to the businesses.

The footpaths are wide enough for there to be enough room for pot plants as well as mobile scooters to get around. The other side of the street looks lovely with all the grass and paving.

When people see other people in stores it encourages them to also go in and have a look around. You only have to look at Moonta to see how inviting it is.

As I had my own business for more than 16 years I know how hard it is to get customers in the door and with times being tough it was just our observation as regular visitors.
