FIRES RAGE

AN estimated 80 to 90 hectares of crop and stubble were destroyed by fire north-east of Maitland, yesterday (Monday, November 19).

The fire started between Balgowan and Greenslade Roads and began just before 11am.

The fire’s cause is unknown but it is believed to have started in a lentil paddock being reapt.
