LIGHT SHOW... Heavy rain and thunderstorms, including a spectacular lightning display last Thursday, have impacted Yorke Peninsula in the past week. Overnight, farmers in the Barunga West area were hit with falls which have stopped harvest in its tracks and likely knocked some grain onto the ground. Bute recorded about an inch of rain overnight, as did Wallaroo, while other parts of the peninsula also copped downpours.

Spring storms sweep across the YP
MOST of Yorke Peninsula has been battered by heavy rain, thunder and lightning during the past week, and more has been forecast.
Parts of the peninsula reached 35 degrees Celsius last Wednesday and Thursday, October 31 and November 1, before the storm system hit.
This week a surge of cooler, drier air could cause more widespread rain and thunderstorms between now and Thursday.
