Meningococcal B vaccine now free

FREE meningococcal B vaccinations are now available for children aged between 6 weeks and 4 years old.

Babies will receive three doses as part of their immunisation schedule at 6 weeks, 4 months and a booster at 12 months.

“For other children aged between 0 and 4, it is recommended they be booked in to get the vaccinations as soon as possible, the sooner they are covered the better,” Kadina Medical Associates nurse manager Gavin Woods said.
