Plans for “disgraceful” Maitland main street

YORKE Peninsula Council has plans to improve Robert Street, Maitland, after complaints.

“There’s mud in the street, the roots from the trees are lifting, I’ve seen elderly people fall on the footpaths – it’s a bloody debacle,” business owner Richard Gunning said.

“We service quite a few interstate cars and some people say it’s the most unorganised and disgraceful town in the state.”
