Police News... Near drowning at Pondalowie Bay

A 53-YEAR-OLD Adelaide man is lucky to be alive after being pulled unconscious from the water at Pondalowie Bay on Sunday, January 7.

The man was dumped by a wave at about 4pm and was retrieved from the water by friends.

First aid was performed by friends and bystanders until SA Ambulance Service arrived on scene. They continued until the man was evacuated to Adelaide by helicopter.
