Huge crowd spills out of council chambers for 2017-18 Copper Coast budget meeting

MORE than 100 residents attended the District Council of the Copper Coast budget meeting, overflowing out of the chambers, last Wednesday.

Councillors passed the annual business plan and budget without changes, meaning average residential rates will increase by 4.5 per cent this financial year.

Rates across all properties, including non-residential, will jump by about 4.8 per cent.
