Fourth bank closure since 2016

THE National Australia Bank’s Moonta branch will be the fourth bank branch to close on Yorke Peninsula since early 2016.

NAB Moonta, which will shut its doors on August 18, joins the now-closed BankSA branches at Wallaroo and Yorketown as well as ANZ at Port Broughton.

NAB decided to close at Moonta due to fewer people using branches, as more than 90 per cent of customer interactions are now through digital channels.
