Regions raise health concerns

THE future of rural hospitals and the health system was discussed at a forum in Quorn last Wednesday, March 15.

About 400 people, including Yorke Peninsula Council mayor Ray Agnew, District Council of Barunga West mayor Cynthia Axford and Member for Goyder Steven Griffiths, attended the forum to discuss the diminishing role of country hospitals and centralisation of services.

Mr Agnew attended the forum to raise awareness of the impending surgical service cuts at Yorketown hospital and support other areas in a similar situation.
