Community worried for hospital’s future

SOUTHERN Yorke Peninsula locals are concerned scaling back surgical services at Yorketown hospital could be the tip of the iceberg.

“What I’d like to see is Minister for Health Jack Snelling stand up at a public meeting and tell us in person what’s really behind this move, and what their future plans hold for our community,” Stansbury Progress Association chairperson Ted Buttfield said.

“Having just heard about the April 20 public meeting Steven Griffiths is organising, I can only hope the minister shows us the courtesy of attending.
