SA Ambulance Service is urging Yorke Peninsula residents to number their houses so they can be easily located in the event of an emergency.
It is essential people clearly display a property number, according to Central Patient Services assistant executive director Craig Westlake.
“SA Ambulance Service encourages all property owners to review their house numbering and take steps to improve its visibility now before you need to rely on it during an emergency,” Mr Westlake said.
“As well as numbering your house clearly and accurately, it’s a good idea to use reflective numbers which are visible at night and make sure the numbers are not obscured so they can be easily seen from the road.
“This assists our ambulance officers and paramedics locate a property in the shortest possible time.
“Literally every second counts when responding to a medical emergency.”
