Senator Ruston discusses farming issues

FEDERAL Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Senator Anne Ruston, toured the peninsula accompanied by Member for Goyder Steven Griffiths and Liberal candidate for Narungga Fraser Ellis last week.

The two-day visit included meetings with agricultural industry representatives, Dis­trict Council of Copper Coast, and a tour of Cheetham Salt’s facilities at Price.

Ms Ruston had an informal meeting with members of the Yorke Peninsula Alkaline Soils Group, and talked about her role in helping primary producers find a voice, in Minlaton on Thursday.
