HARVEST is over but the select committee investigating the state’s grain handling industry is continuing its inquiries.
faHeader2When parliament resumes next month, the committee will meet for the first time since the Christmas break.

Chairman Geoff Brock said, while there were improvements this harvest, he still has concerns which need to be addressed.

“We asked for extra time to report to parliament until February, but that is not enough time,” Mr Brock said.

“There is still information we need to get and, as we open one door, two more open up.

“Again, I make no apologies for that as we need all the information we can get to make strong recommendations to parliament to make the industry far more sufficient and sustainable.”
