Your View: Balance of power

THE balance of power under the Mining Act is skewed. There needs to be a move in favour of the farmers. I don’t feel it is in the community’s interest for farmers to have the right to veto exploration and mining, but I see a need for the farming communities to have a right to negotiate and enter into co-existence land use agreements that legally reside over the current Mining Act.
