Port Wakefield Uniting Church turns 150

MORE than 150 people gathered for the Port Wakefield Uniting Church’s 150th anniversary on Sunday, August 12.

The original church, a Wesleyan Chapel opened on August 9, 1868.

The congregation outgrew the chapel in 1885, and a new Wesleyan Church was opened a few years later.
