Your View: Get well Maree

THERE can hardly be anyone in the Minlaton and District community whose life has not been touched by the volunteer efforts of John and Maree Anderson, and their extraordinary record of 40-plus years helping to improve the quality of life for those in need, or suffering personal tragedy, or playing sport, those isolated, or in nursing homes, and those reliant on help from their fellow citizens.

Maree has received many awards recognising her selfless dedication to her community, culminating with a Medal of the Order of Australia. We all owe both Maree and John a huge debt.

Maree has had a very serious fall, and for the next two months will be undergoing the no-doubt uncomfortable attention of the medical profession at the Keith District Hospital, 35 Hill Avenue, Keith 5267.

I think it would be lovely if we all sent her a get-well card to show her how much we have appreciated her efforts to help so many of us.
