KMS at Crystal Brook led steer education day

TO prepare for the Royal Adelaide Show, 10 Kadina Memorial School students participated in a joint schools’ steer education day at Crystal Brook on Friday, August 9.

Representing KMS were Kasey Witt, Jordan Taylor, Ace Miller, Ebony Puck­ridge, Amy Colliver, Darcy Knee­bone, Emelia Straw­bridge, Marley Hutchison, Lily Rich and Bianca Woolford.

Participants learned about leading and presenting a steer, how they are judged, how best to wash and groom them, and how to determine an animal’s fat-to-muscle ratio.
