Flying Angel Centre project completed

THE fulfilment of a vision by Geoff and June Harrison for an addition to the Port Giles Mission to Seafarers Flying Angel Centre at Edithburgh has been realised.

The addition will be officially opened on Sunday, September 9.

“When Geoff and June accepted the challenge of providing a haven for seafarers back in 2011, they dreamed of providing a covered outdoor area where recreation and hospitality could be extended outwards for the Mission Hall located at the rear of St Mary’s Anglican Church,” committee spokesperson Michael Ford said.
