NAFA... Eagles suffer big loss before finals

REPORTER: Dennis Green

Despite suffering a 72-point loss to premiership favourite Crystal Brook at Rooster Park on Saturday, Broughton-Mundoora will turn its focus to the Northern Areas Football Association finals, beginning next week.

The Eagles will need to lift considerably from this less-than-impressive effort against a quality opponent to progress beyond the elimination final against Southern Flinders at Orroroo this Saturday.

Saturday’s match began in a tame fashion with neither side showing a willingness to go in for the hard contested ball and, not surprisingly, the scoreboard read like a soccer match at quarter time.
