Final chapter for WCH Ardrossan auxiliary

FRIENDS of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Ardrossan Auxiliary held its final meeting on Tuesday, July 17.

Members reflected about the auxiliary’s history since its inception 37 years before, on June 12, 1981, including the cumulative $74,763.90 raised for the hospital, with the support of the Ardrossan, Price and Port Clinton communities.

There were 23 women at the then Adelaide Children’s Hospital Ardrossan Auxiliary’s foundation meeting, convened by Mignon Markwick, physiotherapist and wife of the local GP.
