Trengoves map for profit at Bute

LIFTING crop performance by soil pH mapping to incorporate variable rate lime applications has been a recent focus of Yorke Peninsula agronomist Sam Trengove at his family’s 2350-hectare property near Bute.

“We have had little, if any, history of lime use,” Mr Trengove said.

After pH mapping for the past two seasons, the Trengoves introduced a prescription liming program.
