Barunga West Council passes budget

BARUNGA West Council has passed its annual business plan with an average rate increase of 4.75 per cent.

The plan focused on roads and footpaths, increasing the length of unsealed road renewal from 12 kilometres to 20 kilometres for the financial year.

BWC expects a $143,000 operating deficit which is better than council’s Long Term Financial Plan forecast of $200,000.
