Shack owners at work in Pondalowie

INNES Shack Owners Assoc­iation volunteers spent part of their June long weekend planting native shrubs and grasses around the Pondalowie bush campgrounds.

The group planted more than 400 local species as part of an ongoing program to restock areas adjacent the dedicated campgrounds.

“A wide variety including casuarina and mallee were also planted with the cooperation of duty ranger Mark Davison,” association spokes­person Brenton Chivell said.
