Green peach aphids showing insecticide resistance

CANOLA and pulse growers are warned more Australian green peach aphid populations are showing resistance to neonicotinoid insecticides.

There is confirmed resistance to four chemical actions against the aphids, synthetic pyrethroids, carbamates, organophosphates and neonicotinoids.

Scientific research organisation cesar director Dr Paul Umina said it is essential growers use integrated pest-management practices.
