Your View: Phone book search

RECENTLY I tried to locate the address of a property in Kadina I was involved in building in the late 1990s.

I tried to access some back issues of the local Yorke Peninsula phone book to see if I could locate this address as I knew who the owner was at the time but I could not remember the address.

I enquired at the Kadina Community Library but was very surprised and disappointed to learn they did not have any previous issues in their local history section.

In my opinion, it would be a very valuable asset to those of us who are researching local identities from years back.

A couple of researchers who were there at the time were very helpful and understanding of my problem but alas, they could not help me either.

Can any of the readers of this wonderful local paper tell me where I can gain access to old copies of the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North phone book?

It would be an enormous help to my research project.
