Iconic plough to feature on Foxtel’s History Channel

ARDROSSAN will feature on the small screen at the end of the year after Northern Pictures Production Co, a crew from Foxtel’s History Channel, visited on Thursday, April 12.

The Sydney crew filmed for an episode of Aussie Inventions, focusing on Clarence H. Smith’s stump jump plough, which is on display at Ardrossan National Trust Museum.

Museum curator Rodney Dutschke was filmed in action on the plough, riding through paddocks as Mr Smith’s family would have done after the plough was invented in a small Ardrossan blacksmithery in 1880.
