April brings hot spell and rain

HEAT records have been smashed across South Australia, as Yorke Peninsula endured one of its hottest April periods in decades.

YP experienced three consecutive days of high heat last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, as temperatures were 11 to 16 degrees hotter than the April average.

It was the hottest three-day run at this point of the year in 60 years for Kadina, 36 years for Maitland, 27 for Warooka, 26 for Edithburgh, and 13 for Price, Minlaton and Stenhouse Bay.
