Ardrossan hospital welcomes feathered friends

ARDROSSAN Community Hospital’s aged care facility has welcomed six new residents, but not the usual sort.

Sass, Odd Girl, Daisy, Ellie, Penny and Crackers are chickens being used in the facility’s pet therapy program, and arrived at the hospital on Wednesday, March 28.

Residents chose one name each, and they were put into a hat. The first six names drawn were given to the new feathered friends.
