THE recreational fishing council to be set up under the Liberal state government should make positive changes for the state’s recreational fishers, according to locally-run group RecfishCENTRAL.
RecfishCENTRAL convener Les Rochester said, under Labor, rec fishers suffered cuts to bag and size limits for popular species like snapper, whiting and blue crabs.
“A new era for recreational fishing representation has just dawned on the state with the success in the polls of the Liberal Party,” he said.
