Display opening, egg hunt and teddy bear picnic

IF you visit Queen’s Square, Moonta, on Easter Sunday you might be in for a big surprise.

The Moonta and District Progress Association is officially unveiling its newest display — two fibreglass wombats which pay tribute to the town’s mining heritage.

It has taken a number of years to get the project happening, with the animals purchased from Mount Barker and progress members installing them two weeks ago.
