SA farmers feeling positive

CONFIDENCE for sheep and grain producers is outweighing concerns of beef and dairy producers so far this year.

Rabobank’s most recent Rural Confidence Survey found most farmers (69 per cent), have a stable outlook for the year ahead, with 18 per cent expecting an improvement and only 12 per cent reporting a negative outlook.

Rabobank South Australia regional manager Roger Matthews said farmers feel cautiously optimistic of a return to normal conditions after last year’s dry start.
