What makes a lamb? – support for new definition

SHEEP Producers Aust­ralia has endorsed the industry change of the definition of lamb.

The new definition is “young sheep under 12 months of age or which do not have any permanent incisor teeth in wear.”

A majority of the feedback — 83 per cent — during a nine-week public consultation was in support of the change.
