COPPER Coast Council elected members voted against a proposal which could have resulted in Splash Town, Moonta Bay, being open seven days a week.
Council staff had proposed a new 42-year lease with the Moonta Caravan Park which would allow the lessees more time to realise any returns on their investments.
The lease would have also transferred some of the operations of Splash Town and opened it to the public seven days a week from October to April.
