Scouts help clean local beaches

THERE were 22 cubs and scouts, five leaders and two parent-helpers from the Moonta Scout Group involved with the local KESAB clean-up on Monday, March 5.

As part of their community commitment, the Moonta Scout Group youth members chose to check and clear the area along the beach from Moonta Bay to Port Hughes.

Although about three large bags of rubbish were collected during the emu parade, the scouts and cubs were pleased to see the beaches were generally clear of litter.
