Bute has a sister school

BUTE Primary School hosted four high-profile delegates from the Yamato City Board of Education, Japan, for the signing of a sister school agreement on Friday, March 2.

The school has been working with staff and students at Fumigaoka Primary School in Japan and the new agreement will allow them to continue the relationship.

Department for Education and Child Development education director Joann Weckert, school governing council chairperson Michelle Trengove, District Council of Barunga West mayor Cynthia Axford and Kadina Memorial School Japanese teacher Jai Koirala joined Bute staff and students on the historic day.
