THE Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure has clarified the Heavy Vehicle Inspection Scheme’s rules regarding farm-to-farm vehicles.
The scheme has become contentious due to confusion, exacerbated by political jousting ahead of next month’s state election.
“Heavy vehicles that have conditional registration (certain conditions applied to use) are exempt from stage-two requirements,” a DPTI spokesperson said.
